Synchronicity Stories: The Purple Lotus

This morning I was painting an old desk lilac purple, a color my inner child adores, and one I associate with high frequency, intuition, and sacred imagination.

What began as a simple DIY project became a quiet ritual of renewal.

As I painted, I watched Bridgerton and found myself reflecting on love, parenting, and generational healing. I realized something that felt like a truth landing in my body: children who are deeply, securely loved don't grow up feeling constricted by life.

Hard things still happen—loss, grief, change—but secure attachment creates an inner sense of safety that lets them meet life with resilience rather than fear.

It mirrored my own intention with my son, to raise him in a way where love is not earned, nervous systems can relax, and safety becomes the foundation for confidence, creativity, and joy.

Later, while still painting, I thought about adding an Egyptian lotus symbol to the desk, a personal symbol of rebirth and spiritual remembrance.

When I pulled from the Priestess Oracle deck, one of the cards that came through was the White Lotus, a soft symbolic confirmation, quiet but unmistakable.

And then, in a delightfully mundane moment, I found myself humming while making a sandwich, only to realize I was singing Auld Lang Syne, the New Year's song, in the middle of February, as if my spirit were whispering, The energetic New Year is already stirring.

Purple paint, secure love, the lotus, a premature New Year, small moments woven into a living tapestry of meaning.
